Communities used to only exist in person where like minded ideas would come together on a somewhat regular basis. When people come together there are more opportunities for new ideas and ways to make those ideas come together. Now that community can take place online these benefits of having a community that comes together to make things happen can now be optimized because people and ideas can all come together in one place. This one place will allow for more innovative ideas to come out.
