The new form of leadership in today’s developing world is all about interaction and building connections with customers. The old model of paternalistic control and bureaucracy has given way to more cooperative and collaborative leaders. In today’s age of knowledge, good leaders are the ones who can ‘connect the dots’ and bring different people across various backgrounds to work toward a common purpose. Today’s marketplace requires greater flexibility, versatility, and continued innovation. The old ways just can’t keep up anymore.
