How Nonprofits Are Using Games for their Mission Driven Work

June 16, 2016 By mark david mcCreary

More and more non-profits are getting into video games through Games for Change to teach children skills such as game design and coding as well as using the medium to educate them about real life issues. Every year they have a festival featuring many different events including the girls scouts and code.org.

Key Takeaways:

  • Every year, organizations join games.
  • Games for change unites people.
  • Non-profits are inspiring people to do good things.

“At the Festival, they will share lessons learned from observing the gameplay of hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian youth, and how these lessons can help developers build games to bridge ethnic, religious and racial conflicts.”
