Relationships are an important part of any community, and the online community is no different. Quality is better than quantity; and the better the quality the better your grassroots connections will be. Not only do close relationships enjoy what you do, but they are passionate about your goals and are eager to share them with others(who then may also become passionate too, and the cycle goes on!). So, you need to focus not on how many people you are connected with, but how well you are connected with them.
