Our lives are so busy these days and to-do lists seem never ending. One of the things that fall to the wayside are our communities. Unfinished projects pile up and everyone says how this needs to be finished and that should be done. But how can we make sure they get finished, and make the community a priority? By coming together and making the commitment to check the projects of the to-do list, the people in the community can accomplish a lot.
- The Final Mile events provide a time and a space for participants to finish projects that they have left unfinished.
- Completion brings power and purpose to individuals and communities.
- Getting things done together builds community bonds and deepens a sense of group membership.
“Celebrating finishing moments as a milestone. This creates another community ritual, which in turn makes the group more cohesive and cooperative.”
