The global pandemic has changed many aspects of our everyday lives, and the way we work may be the most impacted area. Use of digital technologies and other technological advancements enabled a significant portion of workforce to work from home with a transition that wasn’t overly difficult. Companies transitioned from very hierarchical organizational models to networks and flexible units. What it means is that the workforce feels more like a virtual community governed by its own rules and internal dynamics. Leadership focuses more on trust on vision creating, influential relationships and impactful networks.
- The way we work is changing, those that are familiar with using technology for work have adjusted.
- Those that are having a harder time transitioning are probably noticing a lot of problems that have been there for a while.
- We will never go back to the way that it was, but we can make the transition much easier.
“Leadership is achieved not through a bestowed role but by behaviors that earn the trust of others.”
