Building institutional memory, one story at a time | Harold Jarche

Harold Jarche knows that the collective knowledge in an organization can be difficult to lasso, record and share, but the rewards are considerable. And he thinks the first step is to define what knowledge means.

Institutional memory, which I wrote about recently, is a mixture of explicit and implicit knowledge sharing. Is it how-to knowledge, like a trade secret formula, or is it certain practices and norms that define the culture?
