13 Lessons Learned From My First Year as a Remote Community Manager

July 7, 2016 By mark david mcCreary

There are a couple of things one needs to be a successful Remote Community Manager. One must manage their time well and work around their own energy levels. They must also be some sort of structure to work space for productivity. Communicating efficiently with coworkers and taking sick time when one needs it are also important. Setting and following goals, asking for help, and good self care are also good tips.

Key Takeaways:

  • Importance of managing my energy levels not just my time.
  • Having a designated work area and some structure to your day is everything.
  • No matter how much you plan beforehand, you will always sacrifice some productivity when traveling and working.

“Whenever I am feeling stuck, my go-to way to get unstuck is to change my environment.”
